Robust Versatile Meat Sauce

artSAVOR® SIGNATURE RECIPE

This tremendously versatile base sauce is packed with flavor and can be used in many different ways in rice, pasta, vegetables, casseroles, shepherd pies and sandwiches. It freezes very well for later use.


Seasons 8 lbs of meat
Serves 8-16

RECIPE INGREDIENTS

  1. 1pk Meat Sauce artSAVOR 21

  2. 5TOlive Oil

  3. 3C Onion, Chopped

  4. 4lb Ground Meat or Poultry ¹

  5. 1C White Wine

  6. 2CTomato Sauce, More if needed

  7. ¼C Pomegranate Sauce, Optional

KITCHEN ESSENTIALS

  • Medium Size Deep Pan

TIPS

  • Use artSAVOR 21 for ground beef, lamb, pork, turkey or chicken

  • artSAVOR 21 is also great for braising meat ²

  • Add extra salt and pepper to your taste if desired

COOK

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat

  2. Add onion and sauté until translucent and just before it turns golden

  3. Add the ½ package of artSAVOR 21 to the onion mixture ³

  4. Cook for 1 minute or until aromatic

  5. Add meat and cook for 3 minutes or until brown

  6. Add wine and tomato sauce and stir

  7. Add pomegranate sauce, optional, lower heat and cook for 20 minutes

  8. or until cooked through

  9. Remove from heat and the sauce is ready to be used for your creation!

NOTES

  1. Freeze excess meat sauce, if any, in a freezer sealed bag for future use
