Iceberg "Steak" Salad No.75

BLEND No.75 CREATIVE RECIPE

This simple, yet elegant salad offers an array of flavors and textures from smoky, savory and pungent to crunchy, nutty and creamy brought together by my Blend No.75. It is a great prelude or grand finale to your simple or multi-course dinner. To make it even more effortless, you can add my magical No.75 to your favorite store bought vinaigrette. Remember to always read the ingredients of what you buy ready-made!

RECIPE INGREDIENTS

Dressing

  1. ¼C        HomeiraStyle Blend No.75, Already mixed with olive oil (see Original Signature Recipe)
  2. ½C        Vinaigrette Dressing, Store Bought
  3. 1T         Lemon Zest
  4. 2T         Lemon Juice, Freshly squeezed

Salad

  1. 8            Iceberg Lettuce "Steaks", Cut in 1” Slices
  2. 3C         Persian Cucumber, Diced
  3. 3C         Cherry Tomatoes, Halved
  4. 1C         Mint Leaves, Julienned
  5. 2C         Canned Black-Eyed Peas, Drained
  6. 2T         HomeiraStyle Blend No.75, Already mixed with olive oil (see Original Signature Recipe)
  7. 1C         Cambozola Cheese, Sliced
  8. 1C         Mint Tips,  For Garnish

KITCHEN ESSENTIALS

  • Wok

DIRECTION

  1. In a mixing bowl, add Blend No.75 mixture, Vinaigrette, lemon zest, lemon juice
  2. Mix well with a fork or wire mixer, set aside for the flavors to infuse
  3. Heat wok over medium high
  4. Add peas and 2T No.75, toss to dry sauté, set aside to cool
  5. Place cucumber, tomatoes, mint and peas  in a mixing bowl
  6. Add ¾ of the dressing and toss to combine
  7. Place each slice of lettuce in the middle of plate
  8. Drizzle some of the Blend mixture over them
  9. Top with cucumber mixture
  10. Top with cheese
  11. Garnish with mint tips and serve
